2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup gf brown sugar
2 Tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups pecan halves
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, water, salt and spices. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add pecans and cook until well coated with syrup.
Transfer pecans to prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden, about 10 minutes. Cool and serve.
