Holiday Gift Idea: Quick Breads
Posted on December 4, 2012 by Webdev
This month we thought we’d focus on quick breads as an inexpensive and easy food to make that can be enjoyed for several days, for breakfast, lunch, dessert or as a snack.
A great cost savings idea during the holidays is to make several quick breads, wrap them in festive wrap and give them as holiday gifts. Everyone loves receiving something homemade from the kitchen.
Quick breads are also an easy food to make-gluten-free for the following reasons:
- They use 2 cups or less of gluten-free flour
- They usually include vegetable or fruit purees which help to moisten them
- They can include dairy products which help to moisten and lighten them
Our quick bread recipes are made with vegetable oil or canola oil instead of butter
The following collection of quick bread recipes are our personal favorites. We hope you and your family and friends will enjoy them this holiday season. Any of these recipes would make a wonderful gift, either as a present or as just a little something from you to your family.
