Autumn Apples

Gluten Free Apple Crisp Recipe
Serves 4-6

8 tart apples (like Granny Smith)
3/4 cup gluten free all purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
8 Tablespoons butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Peel and core apples: cut into 1″ pieces. Place apple pieces in a glass baking dish.

In a medium bowl combine gluten free flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter pieces to flour mixture and cut in butter until mixture resembles small peas.

Cover apples evenly with topping. Bake for 1 hour or until mixture is bubbling and apples are tender. Serve immediately with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!

We love the old fashioned apple crumble, well now, thanks to you, we can have a nice substitute. Sounds great, going out to buy a bunch of apples. Thank you glutenfreeda.
